Thursday, May 13: Hands-On Workshop or Hands-On Training

1.  Workshop: "Real-Time Company and Command Officer Focus and Leadership"

Instructors: Interim Chief Rick Kolomay, Carol Stream Fire Protection District, and Chief Bob Hoff, Chicago Fire Department

OR Hands-On Training Options:

2.  Engine Company Operations- This training covers hose and nozzle systems, proper line selection, stretching techniques, advancing handlines, fire streams and tactics to enhance fire attack.
Required Equipment: Full PPE 

3.  Truck Company Operations - This training teaches basic and advanced search techniques, the advantages and disadvantages of thermal imager use, using striking and power tools, and techniques for ventilating various roof types.
Prerequisite: Minimum of NFPA Firefighter I
Required Equipment: Full PPE

4.  Fireground Air Management - This training is designed to prevent the need for RIT deployment on the fireground. Students will learn practical air management skills and how to operate as part of an interior crew.
Prerequisite: Minimum of NFPA Firefighter I
Required Equipment: Full PPE and SCBA (1 spare bottle, of possible)
